Aquaculture Industry – Partial Listing

Atlantech^® Companies has long standing relationships with many of the companies listed below. Due to space restrictions, only a partial listing of projects has been provided. However, for each listing where pictures are provided, the pictures may span over several different projects.

Cultivos Marinos Chile S.A. - Rio Esperanza, Chile

Designed, supplied and installed a turn-key oxygen generation and pressurized injection system for a 5,400 m3 flow through facility in Southern Chile with a yearly salmon production capacity of 350 metric tones.  The system included oxygen generation, oxygen injection, system monitoring and control.

Stolt Sea Farm - Bingham, Maine - USA

Carried out the complete design for the retrofit of an existing 2,400 m3 flow through hatchery and smolt production facility to recirculation.  Detailed design included water supply disinfection, effluent treatment, re-design of all system above and below ground piping to accommodate recirculation, identification of all recirculation requirements - pumps, degassing, biofiltration, oxygenation, ozonation and filtration.

Salmones Pacific Star S.A - Quellon, Chile

Carried out the conceptual design for a new 1,600 m3 recirculated smolt production facility to produce 6 million fry and 2.4 million smolt per year.   Project design and construction in April, 2006.

Aqua Health - PEI, Canada

Designed, manufactured and supplied an effluent wastewater disinfection system for a 600 gpm flow through vaccination challenge research facility.  System included 60um mechanical filtration and medium pressure UV / ozone treatment and was designed for complete disinfection of the wastewater prior to discharge. 

Heritage Salmon - PEI, Canada

Produced a complete design for the retrofit of a 250 m3 samon fry production facility located in Souris, PEI.  Retrofit design included conversion of the facility from flow through to recirculation to accommodate temperature control and double production capacity.

Invertec Chile S.A. - Lago Verde, Chile

Design, supply and installation of an influent Rotary Drum filtration system for a flow through salmon hatchery with an inlet flow of 12,000 gpm.

Aqua Culture Nordik - Quebec, Canada

Designed and manufactured water conditioning equipmnet (CO2 Degassers and 02 Contactors) for a land-based Arctic Char facility.  (Intensive recirculation system).

Aqua Fish Farms, New Brunswick, Canada

Designed, manufactured and installed a sidestream Water Conditioning System (side stream CO2 strippers and oxygen contactors) and a Rotary Drum Filtration System.

Oak Bay Hatchery (Cooke Aquaculture), New Brunswick, Canada

Designed, manufactured and installed a complete Water Conditioning and Temperature Control System for Oak Bay's early rearing and smolt production fields.

Heritage Salmon, Gardner Lake, Maine, USA

Designed, manufactured and installed a Hatchery Discharge Treatment System complete with drum filtration, belt filtration and de-watered sludge containment. This system was required to maintain phosphorus discharge within compliance.

St. Croix Fisheries, Wisconsin, USA

Designed, manufactured and installed a Rotary Drum Filtration System to accommodate a total recirculated flow of 31,000 US gpm. This newly constructed facility will produce both yellow perch and stripped base and was designed to eventually produce a total of 1,800 tons of fish per year.

Seafood 2000, Prince Edward Island, Canada

Atlantech^® Companies was responsible for the engineering/design of a turnkey Live Lobster Holding System having a maximum capacity of 180,000 lbs of storage. Atlantech® Companies led the project from pre-construction through procurement, construction, supply and installation of all water recirculation, water filtration, water refrigeration, water conditioning and holding system components. The system was designed for long-term holding of lobster for up to 6 months and included all technical support regarding live lobster handling and holding techniques and, water quality and inventory management procedures.

Stolt Sea Farm, New Brunswick, Canada

Atlantech^® Companies completed the engineering, design, capital budget and operating budget for an Atlantic Salmon Broodstock System having a maximum production of 20,000,000 green eggs.

Northern Cod Ventures, Newfoundland, Canada

Completed the engineering, design, capital budget and operating budget for an Atlantic Cod hatchery with a maximum capacity of 500,000 juveniles yearly. Recently completed the first phase of construction involving site work, building construction, water supply and supply disinfection against.

Westmorland Fisheries, New Brunswick, Canada

Designed, constructed and installed a short-term, Live Lobster Holding System with a total capacity of 60,000 lbs complete with water supply, water filtration, and temperature control.
