Atlantech^® Microscreen Belt Filters

Belt filtration technology is a proven method used in a variety of saltwater and freshwater applications to de-water solids. De-watering of solids has two primary benefits to land-based aquaculture, wastewater and, food-seafood processing facilities: 1. Significantly reduces sludge volumes, leading to significant reduction in removal costs and 2. Significant reduction in phosphorous emissions.

• Flow capacities between 50 US gpm (189 lpm) and 2,500 US gpm (9,463 lpm);
• Microfilter screen openings available between 60 um and 1000 um;
• Corrosion resistant construction: 304SS (freshwater), 316L SS (saltwater), high density polyethylene and polypropylene;
• Automated backwash control system available for maximum operator flexibility;
• Passive filtration process maximizes solids removal;
• Concentrates solids from drum filter backwash, reducing water content by approximately 300-500x;
• Significantly reduces sludge handling and holding requirements and sludge removal costs;
• Reduces BOD of process water by approximately 50%; and
• Reduces phosphorous emissions by approximately 25-50%.
